Blog Slacker!

I know. I know. I have been really bad lately. I simply am not feeling it and need to force myself to get better. Here are some happenings...

1. We went to WIntersville this past weekend. Pa (my Dad) came to pick Aaron up Thursday night and took him back for the night. It was so hard for me to let him go. I wasn't worried about him, but sad that he was so far away. He had a great time and everything turned out just fine. We spent a good amount of time with Missy, Bill and Billy and also went to Kyle's birthday party. He is really cute-definitely a Vitello. Time home is really nice, but it is so wonderful to come home with my family and settle back into our life.

2. Speaking of family...we have a new addition. We came home with a new puppy this weekend. His name is Ace and he is quite the dog. He is NO Abbie, but he is fitting in really well. Alex and I were at the Fort Steuben mall Saturday and the Humane Society was there. Well, there was this dog that we both really liked. He had been with them for a little over a month and had been named Buddy. Come on, how more generic can you get? I have been trying for another dog for a year and Alex was game as long as he got to pick out the dog. I told him I could take it or leave it and then Buddy walked away. I said "Ace come here" and he turned around and sat on my lap. At that point he sealed himself a new home. He slept almost the whole way and he and Abbie are getting along swimmingly. And yes-we did name him Ace.

3. Please pray for my job. There is potential that some things could be changing and it is the fear of the unknown.

I will post pictures when Alex uploads them. Until next time...

Blah!

This has been a low week for me. Work is challenging and I just pray that everything will work itself out. Today we are heading to Wintersville (AKA-Home) for the weekend. Months ago Missy and I planned to go to our high school football game tonight and it worked out perfect becasue Kyle's birthday party is tomorrow. One glitch-the game is also tomorrow night, but we will figure it out. THe weather is suppose to be crappy so we may just head out to Missy's after the party to hang out. Billy and Alex have their own plans so we may intrude or just head out, just me and her! I am excited to see her and Colleen and their families. I cannot believe Kyle is 2-goodness gracious. Sunday is Trunk or Treat which always proves to be a great event and I am excited.

One MAJOR high this week was So You Think You Can Dance. Em and I went to the show and it was more than wonderful. She hasn't sent me the pictures yet (SLACKER) so you can head over to her blog to see them. You can link to the right by clicking on Adam, Hannah, Charlie, Austin or me.

We had a blast-made matching shirts-had a photo shoot at the house and then headed to the show. One problem-she is in a wheel chair so I got to push her around!! We had nachos with cheese and jalapenos YUMMY! and she is such a good friend she let me eat about 98% of them. I love her!

Heres hoping you all have a blessed weekend. Please keep me in your prayers!

I've been tagged

I have no idea how this works so...

7 things you may not know about me are....

1. Right before I go to bed I have a routine;brush teeth, wash hands, pee, kiss Aaron and say the same exact thing EVERY night, pee, get into bed, get out of bed once to pee before falling asleep.

2. I really wish I worked for my church.

3. The part of me that would LOVE to move back home will not be enough to get me there.

4. I think thong underwear are for dirty girls (Emily and Krissy that means you too).

5. I pray that I am able to work part time, only when Aaron starts school. I don't have a burning desire to be home full time.

6. I wish I had treated my Mom and Sister different when I was growing up. I regret it every day of my life.

7. I am more than thankful that I was patient with God's plan for my life and didn't marry the first or second (even WORSE) or third guy I fell in love with.

If I tag you try to tag 7 more people!

Phriday Photo Phiesta

This is a picture of Aaron, Ben and Will. They are Denise's boys and truly Aaron's brothers in every sense of the word. The biggest prayer I have had answered in my life was what I was going to do with Aaron when I returned to work. Just 2 days before I went back Denise offered out of the complete blue to keep him. She is amazing and every single day our entire family is thankful for her. She treats Aaron like her own and he loves her so much. He adores Ben and Will beyond words and I know they will be lifelong friends. This picture is from Aaron's birthday and they are in full Power Ranger mode on the trampoline.

Another first for The Babe

Saturday night Aaron was having a hard time sleeping so I put him in our bed. About an hour later we hear this shrieking so I jolt off the couch and start running full speed upstairs. By the time I get to the middle of the stairs I hear him run down the hall and jump into his bed. I find him sitting up, hiding his face, drenched in sweat and trembling. He proceeded to tell us about "the big pider in Daddy's bed". Oh it was so scary and then somehow turned hilarious. As the story went on I did what every good Mom does and asked Alex to run downstairs to get the camera. He then did what every good Dad does and recorded him telling us all sbout the "pider". Watch the video below to see for yourself.

Is is really Monday?

Yesterday we had a FANTASTIC day! We went to church and had a really good Sunday school class. The kids are hilarious! Here is a sampling of what they say:

"When my brother grows up he wants to get a tattoo"
"Of what"?
"A "p" on one cheek and one on the other so when he poops his butt says pop"

Are you kidding me? Emily pick yourself up off the floor!!!

After that we headed to the pumpkin patch-all 21 of us in our small group. It was awesome and then as most of you read on Alex's blog we dealt with 2 nasty tantrums. Seriously the worst ever.

Saturday low down

Today was a great day in my book. Alex left around 8am to help a member of our church family put a roof on his barn and I got to sleep a little longer. When I woke up and realized he wasn't here I was pretty sad. Aaron came home around 9 and we just hung out and watched TV for an hour. It was a really special time, just me and him and we NEVER sit and watch TV. Weird huh? I am a littel crazt about limiting the amount of time he spends watching TV so it was nice to just throw my obsessiveness out the window for a change. He took a nap and I cleaned. When Alex came home we had lunch and then went to the airport.

Aaron was SO happy to see Aya and Abu. He went right to her and put his head on her shoulder-it was absolutely priceless. Between that and asking to stay at Mamaw's last night I think he is a sure bet for Grandson of the year.

We left around 5:30 for small group and he stayed home with Aya and Abu. We had a wonderful meeting. I love our group and I feel really strongly in my heart that these are the people that God has put in our life to grow and share with.

Tomorrow is the pumpkin patch and I am stoked. Aaron is a little worried that it will be scary so here's hoping that we make it though.

My blog is weird...

For some reason my page is messed up and I cannot figure it out. I am just going to wait for Alex or Emily to figure it out for me. Until then, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to link to anything from my blog.

Alex is at church and Aaron is at Mamaw's-I am lost without my boys! It is just me and baby girl (aka Abbie). I hope that you all have a great weekend. We have a really busy one planned.

In going back to my blindly picking a folder I ended up in the folder titled "Drinking in Cheyenne". Wow-what interesting pictures I found in there. It is always lovely to find pictures of scantily clad women with your husband-well technically before I even knew him. It took some thinking to pick the pictures below. I hope you enjoy.

This is Shadders Alex's old roommate. He was the best man in our wedding and rightfully so. I love Shad so much. Alex doesn't talk to him much anymore, but he is always in our thoughts.
And this guy is Dave-about 60 pounds heavier than he is today. I posted pics of him a while ago. He is Alex's best friend. They have been friends for 16 years and he is Ashley's God Father. He is one of Alex's most special and favorite people!
Now this folks is Andy-can you believe it? I am assuming that he was hanging out with the guys this night-he is such a HAM bone!

One weekend down

It seems that we have a really busy weekend for some odd reason. Oh, yea I know we do. Every weekend is packed with stuff. This last one we took Aaron to Timmy's band competition becasue he HEARTS the OSU band and Timmy and the OSU band was playing. We got all dolled up in our OSU gear and headed to the Horseshoe. It was awesome. He sat in such amazement and loved every single moment of it-until we left that is. Here are some pictures from the day!
This was outside the parking garage. After I got him up there for this picture he fell off smack onto the concrete. I know, I am such a good Mom!
My 2 most favorite people in the UNIVERSE!
He looks more like me every day!
Kisses for Mommy!
Alex took this shot-isn't it adorable?
Here are Daddy and Aaron leaving for the day!
We start early in this house!
There is an entire routine with deodrant, cologne and now shaving!

Our fam!

Halloween has started at our house. All decorations are up and here are a few of us getting them there. Sunday we got Aaron's Halloween costume and $45 later he is going to be a Blue Ranger. I sure wish I could sew. The costume wasn't all that bad...it was the gloves, weapon and bucket that Mommy thinks he needs.

We also spent quite a bit of time with Emily and her family this weekend. Aaron and I went there Friday to play and then we all went to watch the game. Life is crazy at the Replogle's. There are 3 kiddies-can you imagine? I wonder all the time how Em does it that is for sure. We have sure had our ups and downs over the years, and there is only one explanation for our closeness today-God. A little over a year ago Don convinced me to call Em after I read on her blog that she was in the hospital and well the rest they say is history. I have no idea what I woudl have done without her when Don passed away. She holds a very special place in my heart and has since the 1st day we met. It is nice now to share our lives and watch our kids grow. Em-I love you! Here is a picture of me and her at Kaiya's birthday party.

Happy Hump Day

Oh no, its Thursday-oops. I forgot. I am back to working nights today and tomorrow. We have an evening class and with Alex's schedule I cannot work past 5 M-W. I should be thankful right? You woudl think so, but not me. I feel this internal guilt that I am letting my team down and I cannot stand it. Such is life. I am just about to take Aaron to Denise's so I can run an errand before I head in. I hope all is well with everyone. Alex's parents are coming for a visit in the middle of the month-we just got the call yesterday. We are excited and he is just on cloud nine. Aaron will be jazzed when he sees them and I am hoping that she makes her shrimp stuff while she is here. Later!!
